These trees have withstood the test of time. We can't let Bush-era holdovers take them down.

Join us in standing up for America's last wild forests. Tell Secretary Tom Vilsack to declare roadless areas within our national forests off-limits to industry.

Learn More: Our National Forests

Our national forests have long been the target of the logging and drilling industries, but we've fought back against every attempt to open our forest to these destructive activities. Read more.

To Secretary Vilsack:

I urge you to put a halt to Bush-era plans to allow the timber, mining, coal and oil industries into our pristine national forests.

I support full restoration of Clinton-era protections to nearly 60 million acres of roadless national forests under the Roadless Area Conservation Rule.

Yet as current U.S. Forest Service officials move ahead with Bush-era plans to allow logging, mining and drilling in forests in Alaska, Colorado, Idaho and Oregon, I urge you to take immediate action to stop the destruction before it's too late.

Sincerely,
