Wilderness & Land Preservation

Overview

From the farmlands of eastern Washington to the shores of our coast, Washington enjoys some of the country’s most stunning landscapes. Our wilderness areas protect clean water, preserve undisturbed wildlife habitat, and provide recreational opportunities for Washingtonians and visitors.

Unfortunately, too many of our natural wonders have been lost to logging, pollution and overdevelopment. That’s why we’re working to protect and preserve our treasured landscapes for generations to come.
